Me

I made this page to share my love of tea and anything else! I have loved tea my whole life, but over the past couple of years I have been interested in learning more about the plant, different kinds of teas, the areas in which they are grown, tea ware, brewing the perfect cup, and the complete tea experience.

This site will also be my place for expressing opinions regarding world events, politics, religion, and any other kinds of taboo topics on which I can get my dirty little paws.

A few more things about me:

My husband is my best friend. Yeah, yeah, cliche, but whatever.

A few of my favorite written works include Hamlet, Pride and Prejudice, A Song of Ice and Fire, and The Abhorsen Trilogy. I love fantasy (high, historical), YA, and quite a few classics.

I love video games. MMOs, fantasy, rpgs and strategy games are my favorite genres. Anything by Nippon Ichi is gold as far as I'm concerned. I actually first met my husband in a video game store. I'm not really too interested in FPS and most military-centric games, unless they are strategy or historical.

Drawing and painting using watercolors are how I occasionally unwind. I have used both for nearly my whole life, but am my own worst critic. I can spend hours and days on a piece of work and then throw it away. Due to this I have very little of my own work to show.

Cats have a special place in my heart, but I'm not specifically a cat person. All furry and scaly creatures have my love and respect. My husband and I rescue animals and have five cats and a dog of our own. They keep us busy cleaning and being broke, but I wouldn't trade them for the world. Humans are animals. Animal life is as precious as human life.

I moved to South Korea for a time to teach at a public high school. It was one of the greatest decisions I ever made.

I have a love affair with Asia. My husband and I went to Thailand for our honeymoon. We've convinced ourselves it is where we will retire.
